Instead of writing up another studio update, the band has decided to share a video from the studio this time. It's a short clip of Mike talking about a new song, giving very little, vague information. In the clip, he mentions the track he is talking about is a collaboration. You can watch the video below. So what did you think of the video? What about those "collaborator sounds"? Come and discuss in our forums. Source: Linkin Park
So muuuch hype and nothing delivered. This feels like a documentary, probably we will have a full dvd this time.
Sort of feels like they're talking about that, but "collaborator sounds" could also just be a refrence to the other artist they're working with in the studio. Yep, hopefully we'll get a "Making of" this time around
A 'Making Of' would be so so so good. That was always my favorite part of LP albums before they stopped making them. Also, I'm assuming we'll be getting something more solid pretty soon. As a first update in over a month isn't this pretty small? Shouldn't there be something a little bigger??
Well, the band was live on FB with Connor Youngblood testing out synth sounds so my interpretation is that there will be synth collaborators for this song that they are working on.
These updates are extremely insightful and provide great info within the album process. I'm assuming we'll hear a snippet of music from a finished track off the album in 5-6 months.
yes i fear that we are gonna have to wait veeery long to get a song .. maybe not 6 months but at least 2 or 3
i don't know about you but time has flown by fast these past few years. so waiting another 6 months will not be that long.
I hope LP use more panning on the new album instead of so many sounds at once on one track, separate them into two channels, LP doesn't do that much, if it all.
I've noticed that too. If you listen, there is plenty of panning, just rarely hard panning all the way to either channel, except when it's like a double electric guitar or something (or the end vocals of tltgya). But lack of panning definitely isn't the only thing that makes some of their mixes feel terrible (all of LT, Until it's Gone, etc.)
