im thinking a late August/early September release for the album. I want them to take as much time as they can to make the album great! TBH i'm more hyped for this album than i was for The Hunting Party!
A little dissapointed by the news. Nothing really new/ interesting But still on the hype train. I think the album will come out later. maybe November/ December this time
To be quite honest, I thought there would really be a bit more substance to it. Of course fans can't expect full disclosure of album plans but the update adds little to what's already been widely reported. I'm still looking forward to it as well.
I can't see it being ready in less than 6 months. This method is all new to the guys, so seems like they're taking very small steps to find their way. But i'm very confident with this non-rushed production.
Honestly, if it comes out in 2017 but is their best work since ATS, I'm quite alright with that. Their last two records had fantastic first impressions (hence my good reviews of both) but over time have not aged very well.
This update feels like a retread of last month's update. I understand they're still very early in the writing phase, but a little something more exciting would go a long way.
The only good thing about this update is, that it shows us, that they really put effort into this stuff. I am excited.!
Such a let down ... " we are still in the beginning " ... After 4 months ? And no notable progression since February ?
It's been not even 2 years since the last studio album. Barely a year since The Mall OST. Barely half a year since they finished touring. Jesus Christ, you people are impatient. It's not easy to write a song, let alone a fucking album. I think that in LP's case, the time they put into it is a very important factor. I'll gladly wait another year if the final product is something I can really enjoy for a long time. The last two albums were both nice, I like them. But they feel less fresh than ATS right now. Give the band time, it'll be worth it. There's so much more music for you to discover, too. Linkin Park are hardly the most exciting artists out there right now, even if they are my favorite. I'll take a GREAT album in two years over a good one right now.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Filip. Not on the part where the last two albums were both nice, they aged horribly and I haven't listened to them in months (in THP's case) or even years (LT's case). Not on the part where LP are my favorite, either. Definite nope. But holy shit the impatience. There are some bands that take 6 years to put out another album. Some longer. Do you realize Tool hasn't put out a new album since 2005? That's eleven years, people. And you're whining that progress is "slow" when the last album we got was in 2014. For fuck's sake, FOUR Linkin Park records have come out since Tool last put out an album. Put THAT into perspective. 10,000 Days came out in 2005. After that, Linkin Park put out Minutes To Midnight (2007), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2012), and The Hunting Party (2014). Patience, children.
I was Just saying that i expected more interesting news , not that i want the record out in 2 months . Aniway i have got great expectations on this record even if i still play THP regularly ( except for MTG , AFN and Drawbar )
