whats your favourite linkin park lyrics mine is Sometimes I remember the darkness of my past Bringing back these memories I wish I didn't have Sometimes I think of letting go and never looking back And never moving forward so there'd never be a past
IDK, maybe... I will never know myself until I do this on my own And I will never feel anything else, until my wounds are healed I will never be anything till I break away from me I will break away, I'll find myself today or Hear me out now! You're gonna listen to me like it or not! I can't feel the way I did before, don't turn your back on me, I won't be IGNORED!
Sick of the dark ways, We march to the drumming. Jump when they tell us They want to see jumping. Fuck that, I want to See some fist pumping. Risk something. Take back what's yours Say something that you know They might attack you for 'Cause I'm sick of being treated Like I had before. Like it's stupid standing for What I'm standing for. Like this war is really just A different brand of war. Like it doesn't cater the rich And an abandon the poor. Like they understand you In the back of the jet, When you can't put gas in your tank. These fuckers are laughing their way To the bank and cashing their check Asking you to have compassion and to have some respect. For a leader so nervous In an obvious way Stuttering and mumbling For nightly news to replay And the rest of the world Watching at the end of the day In the living room laughing Like what did he say? Ten years old is something to see, Another kid my age drugged under a jeep, Taken and bound and found later under a tree, I wonder if he thought the "next one could be me". Do you see? The soldiers they're out today. That brush the dust from bulletproof vests away. It's ironic, At times like this you pray, But a bomb blew the mosque up yesterday. There's bombs in the buses, bikes, roads, Inside your markets, your shops, your clothes, My dad, he's got a lot of fear I know But enough pride inside not to let that show. My brother had a book he would hold with pride A little red cover with a broken spine. In the back he hand wrote a quote inside, When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die. Meanwhile, the leader just talks away Stuttering and mumbling For nightly news to replay And the rest of the world Watching at the end of the day Both scared and angry Like what did he say?
"Weep not for roads untraveled Weep not for sights unseen May your love never end and if you need a friend, There's a seat here alongside me" :') I distinctly remember this line sticking out during my first listen of LT. I always thought it was a clever and meaningful twist on the previous verses.
Yeah Roads Untraveled is definitely my favorite. I remember that being the first LP song where I stopped what I was doing to listen to because of the lyrics! Also: When They Come For Me Burning in the Skies Waiting for the End Shadow of the Day The Catalyst High Voltage Primo The Messenger In The End
"When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done" "I used to be my own protection, but not now, 'cause my path has lost direction, somehow"
Let me think.... 'Hands Held High' lyrics, 'Roads Untraveled', 'Rebellion', 'A Line In The Sand' minus the chorus (it could've been better, IMO), 'The Catalyst', 'No More Sorrow', 'Bleed It Out'... "THIEVES AND HYPOCRITES!!!!"...Hell yea!!
Why laugh? "Watch the ball / Nice! Run, run, run!" is a brilliant metaphor for how our hopes and dreams are sailing away from us, while we're forced to watch, leaving the pessimistic ones to sit and live a life with no meaning, while the optimistic ones chase after them, hoping to one day catch them and live their life to the fullest.

Iridescent Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go Rebellion And far away, they burn their building Right in the face of The damage done We are the fortunate ones Who've never faced opression's gun We are the fortunate ones Imitations of Rebellion Shadow Of The Day Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, Sometimes goodbye's the only way.
Take everything from the inside and throw it all away 'Cause I swear for the last time I won’t trust myself with you
