Setlist FM states they played a bit of a longer show than what LPL reported. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/linkin-park/2015/la-river-studios-los-angeles-ca-4bf5733e.html Here is Wastelands as proof to follow up on that.
But that also says that WID didn't have the extended guitar solo bridge, even though it clearly does https://youtu.be/LYPiZ4GdpzY?t=76 Also, we have the setlist in the first post of this thread.
Yeah.. It then says that WID NORMALLY had a extended guitar solo during the bridge, however not at this show, due to the guest. Which is wrong.
You guys gotta realize, All For Nothing might be a simple song, but it still takes time to work out everything and rehearse it. Hell, they spent 2 weeks on Castle of Glass back in 2012.
But keep in mind, that song also has an obscene number of guitar tracks, as pointed out by Astat. That may have been why CoG took so long.
For those curious, here is DTB Live. It actually sounds really nice.
I'm well aware of the amount of guitar tracks in COG. Doesn't change the fact that it still would take time that LP just might not have had to rehearse and play AFN literally one time.
You can still differentiate the different sets of vocals. An obvious example being when Chester comes in for the final Chorus in which we can hear his live vocals clearly.
I think the more likely explanation is the band wants to continue the chain of "We wrote this album to bring more energy to our live shows, but we're only going to play half the songs" that started with Living Things.
