I heard that Brad said that he wasn't interested to return play rock music with his guitar and THP has not been promoted very much (the album didn't sell too many copies and we have only two music videos, few compared to other years. So, my question is this: are Linkin Park satisfied with the THP? PD: The opinions about the album were good in general. PD2: Again, sorry for my poor english
I only know that Brad is said to have had much fun playing with his guitar again and jamming to find some new riffs (could be seen in one episode of LPTV). So I think he was glad "returning to rock music".
I think the band has claimed many times they wouldn't release an album if they weren't satisfied with it at the time.
I think if Brad could change his role in the band (lead guitarist) he would do it But i think that LP is proud of every album they released as Qwerty said.
I think Brad is just disinterested in playing guitar in general, apparently Mike recorded a lot of the guitar parts for ATS and Living Things. In regards to album sales, I'm pretty sure each album has sold less than the one before it, so that isn't an indicator of anything either.
I'd say they must be pretty satisfied with the way the album was received by fans. In general, I'd say it appears to be their most acclaimed album since Meteora.
While they definitely were satisfied at the time of its release, I wouldn't be surprised if they were a little bored of it now. Mike especially, he seems to become a whole different musician in regards to sound/genre every few months lol.
If they weren't, I think they'd follow it up with an album that takes their music in the same direction, and tries to improve on it.
You crazy. Who knows if the band was satisfied with their sales/reviews, but I'm certain they were happy with the final product. If they weren't, we wouldn't have heard these songs.
It has taken quite a while for me to feel satisfied with the album, but I guess LP is really satisfied with it, otherwise it would have never been released.
The lyrics on "Rebellion" are some of the best they've ever written, so it's a shame the instrumental is so forgettable and kinda samey. Not samey in the "it repeats" way, but samey in the "it all blurs together" way.
