For any aspiring Linkin Park cover bands, Linkin Park's own Brad Delson has filmed a quick tutorial video to take you through playing the arpeggiated guitar solo from the band's epic album closer "A Line In The Sand" off 2014's "The Hunting Party". The video has been uploaded to Linkin Park's official YouTube channel. Check it out below:

I hope the band does more things like this. I'd love for Mike to do tutorials on the keyboard parts of songs. Because I actually have a Keyboard.

Awesome stuff. This part isn't too tricky, I'm still trying to figure out the previous section before the tapping part.

The reason why that part isn't covered in Delson's tutorial is that he hasn't figured it out either. :kappa:

Lol, when he played it slowed down, I was like "shit, I really have no idea what that solo sounds like... but I thought it would be faster".

Source: barely heard ALITS three times since my THP hype died down.

That would be fantastic, indeed! Because I ... eh ... actually have a keyboard.

How can one not like ALITS when he even listened to it so rarely? :O
Oh, you mean after your hype died down. Ok. But I also found the slow part sounding quite different than the actual solo, so you are not alone. :p

Playing parts from LP songs isn't technically difficult, though, and esp. not the keyboard parts. What's hard is reproducing the patches and the tones.

Eh, Robot Boy's solo, the arpeggio in Valentine's day, Powerless, and if you count them, Together We Made it and Welcome's solo might be a bit tricky to a beginner. At least it'll take a little while to get up to that speed. But largely yeah, all LP music is generally easy on the guitar/keyboard side, and even a lot of drums before THP are pretty easy.
