New Single "Hallelujah" is out, and a new album is reportedly being released later this year.
Just a casual PATD fan. But I swear, every album cycle, Panic! just keeps getting better even if Brendon is the only original member left. And he has improved leaps and bounds each time. Really love the new single!
I hope the new album lives up to Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! That album's fantastic. The first song I ever heard by Panic! was "The Only Difference..." (before Fever came out) and the one line in that song ("we swear to shake it up if you swear to listen") has been true for every one of their albums. I like how they change their style while still being Panic! at heart, mainly because unlike other artists that change their style, Panic!'s actually really good at it.
Contrary opinion, I thought post-split Panic has been pretty good. I rocked Vices and Virtues like no tomorrow and I have no qualms with the most recent album. They change it up every album, and I can't fault Brendon for doing that.
i like brendons voice a lot, but couldnt get into their music, listened to too weird to live... today and it's ok at best for me, feels too generic for me for the most part
One album in context yeah, I can see generic. But the road they've taken is a varied one, from album to album. First album example: Second album: Third album: Then compare that to Too Weird To Live... and yeah while generic on its own, compared to their previous sounds its wholly different. That's the fun of Panic.
Brendon is an excellent song-writer with a great voice. Hallelujah is a great track and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
New song premiered earlier today. Death Of A Bachelor.
It is way different from what I was expecting. Initially I did not like it but after a couple listens, it is definitely worth listening too when you're in that happy mood which is what I want for Panic.
Death of a Bachelor has me really psyched for the next Panic album. Hallelujah had kinda gotten my hopes down, but this has me thinking that the album is gonna be another great show of fresh material from the band. Of course, I'm the person who likes Pretty. Odd. more than any of their other albums.
http://www.fuse.tv/2015/09/panic-at-the-disco-new-song-victorious They're dropping another single in 4 days it looks like. Mega hype. If they're at single three now the album can't be too far off.
1. Hallelujah isn't very entertaining 2. Eh, Death of a Bachelor would be better if it didn't have those stupid generic hiphop drums.
Panic's third single, "Victorious", is out. In my opinion, it's a bit of a letdown song. It sounds really generic. I'm hoping this doesn't indicate the sound of the album as a whole, and is just one instance of meh pop.
I loved Death of a Bachelor...Victorious just really sounds like bland pop to me...it's gonna have to be added to the small number of Panic! songs I really just don't like...the other two being Girls/Girls/Boys and The Girl That You Love...
Panic! tweeted "The end of eras begins October 22nd. New album. New song. New video." I guess they're releasing a new single and announcing the album date. EDIT: Confirmed! The new album is entitled "Death of a Bachelor", set for release on January 15. New video for the single "Emperor's New Clothes" was released today as well. Pre-order for the album is available now.
