So, i love Until it's gone because of it's dreamy and atmospheric sounds, and i love no light no light for the same reason!! and i think they sound similar on some points, that!! and i love it! "Until It's Gone" kicks off with the sort of warbling synth effect that was the group's calling card on their 2000 breakthrough debut, Hybrid Theory, but builds into a brooding, textured gloom rocker that reminds listeners, via singer Chester Bennington, that "[you] don't know what you've got until it's gone." Ryan Dombal of the website Pitchfork Media commented that "No Light, No Light" was one of the songs where Welch "sets aside her usual flighty, dreamy, goth-y lyrical go-to's-- ghosts, graveyards, devils, angels, myths, drowning-- for something a bit more personal." Both songs are very good, but UIG is more electronic, and NLNL is more organic*... oh and ofc the lyrics of NLNL are better What do you think guys?, are the songs a little similar on that dreamy and atmospheric sounds? I WOULD LOVE LP TO DO MORE THINGS LIKE THAT!
I do like the unique sound coming from the first chorus of UIG, would love to get more like that in a future song.
I'm not saying that LP copied the sound, i'm just trying to say that they are using the same instrument maybe?, but i really love that sound...
