Django Unchained - great but way toooo long

    Best lines of dialog:
    - You sure that's him?
    - Yeah.
    - Positive?
    - I don't know.
    - You don't know if you're positive?
    - I don't know what positive means.
    - It means you're sure.
    - Yes.
    - Yes what?
    - I'm sure that's him.

That made me laugh out loud.

Django felt way shorter than The Hobbit to me at basically the same running time.

    Warrior 10/10

I understand that giving this film a 10 is a little over the top, but I could not help but give Warrior that honor due to how hard it hit me on an emotional level. Bravo O'Connor, Hardy, and Nolte.

    Cars 2 - 7/10

Ironically this is terrible on Pixar standards. Too much cringe humor.

Argo - 8/10. Awesome movie, incredibly suspenseful, but the majority of the characters aren't developed at all so in the end you don't give a shit about half of them.

    Buried, starring Ryan Reynolds. 7/10.

I really enjoyed the end of it.

The Impossible - 10/10. Disaster movie about the 2004 tsunami starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. Very emotional, very nerve wracking, very powerful.

    Django Unchained- 9/10
Amazing! my only problem is that there are so many "Holy Shit" moments back to back that it rarely gives you enough time to recuperate from the last "Holy Shit" moment.

    The Lorax- 7/10
Great! Loved the way they made their point.

    Safe- 2/10
    alot of loud nothingness.

    Total Recall- 5/10
    Great concept, terrible execution.

I was smiling from the very start. That opening song got me going. So many funny moments in the movie. Soundtrack was awesome.

    Great film.

    ~

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) - It didn't disappoint me. Amazingly done apart from some clichéd elements. It lived up to the book. I enjoyed the Gollum part the most. I'm looking forward to seeing the other two films. My only actual complaint would be - there wasn't enough blood. They fight, stab, cut, but no blood anywhere. I agree with travz about it being a somewhat kids movie. Maybe they're trying to get a new generation into LOTR? 9/10

I'm gonna start rating out of 5 now, just easier.

Moonrise Kingdom - 4/5. Not my kind of movie, but I liked it. Good story, awesome style (Wes Anderson) and everything, but it doesn't really leave you with much to think about or even really have an impact on you. Of course, I don't think it was really meant to.

Flight - 5/5. If you like to see fantastic acting, see this movie. Denzel Washington is in top form here.

Eyes Wide Shut (1999) - 3.5/5 - Weird/creepy psychological thriller. Also very artsy... as you'd expect from Stanley Kubrick.

Demons Never Die, a british "street" horror film. It was alright but very melodramatic. And Tulisa is in, which makes it get degraded. 4/10.

    Blame it on Tulisa.
