What movies did you recently watch?

Men In Black - 7.8/10

 

Cool. Advanced screening? Was it better than the second one?

 

It was the first one.

I'm getting the second one on Monday, so that I can get my second free ticket to see Men In Black 3. XD

 

It's not in the cinemas in Croatia and I don't think it'll even be out through DVD, so I'm just gonna have to download it.

 

THE AVENGERS: 7/10

I saw it the other week. It was boring. lol. I wasn't even amazed by the story. The only thing that made me like "woahh" was the ship's design. It was cool though.

DARK SHADOWS: 6/10

Don't be fooled by the trailer. lol. Boring as hell. Johnny Depp is still cute. lol. At least.

 

THE VENGEANCE TRILOGY





Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance - 8/10

A recently laid off factory worker kidnaps his former boss' daughter, hoping to use the ransom money to pay for his sister's kidney transplant.

A film that challenges the viewer to question morality and justification behind the aspect of vengeance. Not for the feint of heart; Mr. Vengeance is a grim tale that will grab you by the throat with unconstrained rage.

Warner Bros. has since acquired the rights for a remake. No further information thus far.

Oldboy - 9/10

After being kidnapped and imprisoned for 15 years, Oh Dae-Su is released, only to find that he must find his captor in 5 days.

This film has become an instant favourite of mine. I'm surprised I held out this long (8 years) before seeing it. If you consider yourself a film buff, do yourself a favor and see this film. The execution of the film is compelling as it is ridiculous and disturbing. The climax will leave you gasping for air.

'Oldboy' is set for a remake, with Josh Brolin in the lead.

Sympathy For Lady Vengeance - 7/10

A woman seeks the means of redemption after serving a thirteen year sentence in prison.

Slightly muddled, but overall an ambitious film that requires a lot of 'reading between the lines' in order to fully comprehend and enjoy.
In 2008, a remake was announced with Charlize Theron set for the lead role.

 

Just watched Journey 2.. Not sure why. But god damn Vanessa Hudgens is fiyah.

 

Legend of the Guardians - 8/10

The majority of my rating goes towards the amount of work and detail went into the owls themselves.

MIB 3 was really that bad? What was so terrible about it?

 

Thin Ice - similar to Fargo, great acting and music. It was very good, until last 15 minutes, which ruined the whole movie... you'll understand when you see it, I don't want to give away any spoilers.

 

Cowboys and Aliens - 6/10

John Carter - 6/10

Both were extremely underwhelming.


Brick - 8/10

I'm very impressed. Such an intricate storyline.

 

Men In Black 3 - not a good movie...jokes were lame, the whole time traveling was waaayyy too confusing and it had many plot holes. But the whole theater was laughing out loud most of the movie, so I guess everyone liked it except me... 6/10

 

The Raid: Redemption (2012) - 5/5

Insane action and a very fitting score from Mike and Joe Trapezenenene.

Found a bluray rip torrent finally. I'm pissed this never came to my theater. Most badass movie I have ever seen. Unfuckingbelievably insane. So realistic for a $1.1 million budget!!!! I still can't believe what I just watched.

 

Havoc - 4/10

An uninspired and awkward cautionary tale that fails to be compelling upon any front.
