    My Bestfriend's Girl - 8/10

What an elaborate Marlboro commercial, there are packs hidden in plain view in almost every scene. I thought advertising cigarettes was illegal, but apparently not when it's done subconciously.

The only way I made it through this movie was by pretending Dane Cook was Blake Swarzenbach, because truthfully they look quite alike with that black hair dye. Now I almost don't want to listen to Dear You ever again.

Anyways, so Dane Cook is a douche, we all know this. It doesn't help him, however, when he keeps playing these asshole roles.
He ends up with the girl? What's that about? Obviously, it's because he was taught by Alec Baldwin, I should have known. His nerdy best friend (Jason Biggs), on the other hand, fails and has to settle for the weird gothic chick... typical, nerds like goths, right.

Now why did I give it an 8 out of 10? Because hating on Dane Cook was the only reason I even watched this movie in the first place, and it delivers so perfectly. Much like the girlfriends in the movie, you go running back to the movies you love to watch, but for some reason decided not to this time. I'd like to think the director and writers of this movie had this all planned out. Genius.

If you think Dane Cook is a jerk, watch this movie (for free)! Because you'll be right in the end and who doesnt like to be right, right?

    Blood and Bone - 9/10

Michael Jai White is a beast ( you may remember the man from 'Spawn', and/or the male who got cut by the Joker in 'The Dark Knight'. ) I've been waiting for another MJW starred film since his starring role in 'Undisputed'. Definitely was not a let-down in terms of on-screen fight choreography. The ending is left open-ended, so hopefully we'll be following his character's journey on a bigger budget film.

District 9 10/10 (for the second time now)

Adventureland 8/10 (I don't know why but this movie hits me hard, I guess the whole summer, carnival type scenarios and the main character relate to me.)

Are you referring to the remake with George Clooney or the original with Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack?

If you mean the remake, go watch the original. It's far better and a classic film :).

I haven't seen the original, but the first two from Soderbergh are pretty good entertainment for my money. The first is well written, the second is well photographed.

    The third is just terrible.

Yeah I was referring to the Clooney one.

And thanks for the recommendation. I'll get to it after finishing the 2 sequels of the remake.

    "An American Crime".

Well, it wasn't as hard to watch as I imagined it'd be, but it was still kind of gut-wrenching ... and, of course, Ellen Page and Catherine Keener are amazing in this film. :)
