Because even with THP the band still can't let go of putting a potential hit single on the album even if it doesn't make it better in any way. The fact that they still put effort in attracting mainstream radio listeners makes them uncool as fuck.
I think he is saying because there are a lot of haters, they are easily noticed. If that's what you mean, well... no shit.
Every band always have certain amount of people who are against what they do,even a good garage band has their haters,for example.But since LP is considerably a bigger band,it's easier for everyone to notice the existence of those "haters"
