6 epic studio albums, the biggest band of today, amazing
songs, awesome lyrics, mostly everyone can relate to a LP song.
The masters of mixing different music together. What else
is left for LP? LP has accomplished everything they have wanted.
Either you love them or you hate them. How much does LP
have left in the tank? Are we seeing the beginning of the end for
    Linkin Park?

They hit their peak popularity-wise years ago yet are still among the most popular bands in the world. Sales for Hybrid Theory and Meteora were probably enough to allow them to make music the rest of their lives if they wanted to. Even so they're still making tons of money off live shows and merchandise so I don't think we'll see Linkin Park going anywhere anytime soon. I honestly think this is going to be one of those bands that gets to hang it up on their own terms instead of being forced into irrelevancy and disbanding.

No. They are still one of the Biggest bands worldwide. I don't see LP going to end their musical career soon, what they need right now is to take time in making another new record in the future just like what they did during Minutes to Midnight & A Thousand Suns. 6 studio albums is only few. I want to see LP's studio album up to 10 or 12. Then that would be epic.

Commercially, their peak was obviously 2000-2004. They've left the core mainstream since then (or the mainstream moved away from them, whatever).

Artistically, they're still full of innovation, they're not one of those band have stopped being creative and play over and and over again what made them popular.

Linkin Park will live forever, lol. But seriously, I still think Linkin Park has too much fun right now to give it up. I believe they will stop once things become too much for them or they feel that their bodies have finally given out.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that IS what they do. The last few album cycles post-ATS has been "We're going to play all the hits and only the hits".

But aside from that, yeah they haven't reached their creative peak yet. Unless it's all downhill, then ATS was that peak.

Well, LP died after Meteora. They gave up and went to actually use their degrees and were replaced by a bunch of clones.

This. I think people forget/are too young to remember what a huge album HT was and what a step down sales/popularity wise even Meteora was from 2001 and 02. Realistically they've been on the decline for nearly a decade now. They're still relevant now, albeit far less though, but taking into consideration how little any music sells (especially rock) they're still one of the bigger bands around.

I always felt their peak was M2M and New Divide. I mean that era was huge and LP was immensely popular here and those songs had a lasting legacy. I mean, M2M was the only LP album to be nominated for an Album of the Year for the AMAs, the ultimate mainstream popularity contest.

To quote Linkin Park themselves: "This is not the end, this is not the beginning."

As people have said, it kind of depends what kind of "peak" you mean, but, also, you can only see "peaks" in hindsight

I mean, its obvious the band doesn't care about popularity that much and Mike said they didn't care about the number of records sold. Also, believe it or not, LP get pirated a lot. I was just listening to two 14 year olds in my school van say the hunting party was cool. I mean, there's a LOT of people who know every LP song but don't own any of them.

Also, ATS is great yes but its not some behemoth compared to other LP albums IMO. I'd say, what with LPU 14 seem so different and exciting and them playing so many shows, the band seems as energetic as ever.

The only people who gave up was that guy called Mark, who was in the band when it was called Xero. Mike and Chester are too good to be replaced by clones.

    Linkin Park will never die!!
