At this point, fuck this band. No lyric countdown, no info, no song, no video. Ffs. They've teased wayyy to fucking much.
Finally. Drown premieres tomorrow on BBC Radio 1 with Zane Lowe. And, on the 30th, MORE NEW MUSIC will be premiered on BBC Radio Three.
Lol. I didn't expect to be really crazy about the song, and I'm not. Way too pop-punky for my taste. Nevertheless, I found it really enjoyable at parts. The chorus is nice and Oli's vocal performance is really strong. I hope the rest of the album isn't like this, but it's alright. Also, if the track is anything to judge Lee Malia's new custom Epiphone Les Paul model, not good man, not good. The clean parts are nice but that distorsion is pretty bad (Especially considering it's an Epiphone Les Paul. Shit should be crazy on distorsion while dead on clean.). Could just be amp choice or pedals, though.
Meeh it's not bad but not that good either. Maybe it will grow on me. But they do sound a lot more like an average alternative rock band.
Being the BMTH hater that I am, I actually really enjoyed that. It sure is nothing special, but here, they've embraced their more pop nature, and dropped the Metalcore, which they are terrible at. There are better doing Radio-Rock it seems. Some of the guitar distortion is absolute shit though.
While I've never been a metalcore fan in the first place, BMTH has always sort of disgusted me. My boyfriend managed to get me into the Pop Punk realm of shit (Which I have sincere trouble not enjoying... <,<), and this track is the first BMTH track I've ever heard that I have enjoyed. So yup, came here expecting an instant write-off, got a enjoyable track. I'm surprised. That video was god awful though...
I changed my mind. WHO WILL FIX ME NOW? A pop song, but a great pop song. - Fun fact: Oli Sykes has never sang an entire song before.
Not a fan of it. Not a fan of their older stuff either. I hope the rest will sound more like Sempiternal. Especially Shadow Moses.
Can't believe people are calling artists/bands like Lorde, Imagine Dragons, even Coldplay rock bands, but this is pop.
But it is Pop. Just because it has #Guitarz doesn't make it not Pop. This song is Pop in every way, from the structure of the song, to the chorus. Rock and Pop aren't mutually exclusive.
Never heard of these guys until Sempiternal, which I liked. I couldn't really get into their older stuff, because I'm not a huge metalcore fan. This song isn't anything special, but I like it. Almost like they're going for a LP style now.
Can I just say how fucking shitty that mix is? Which is really weird 'cause the band really has great mixing usually. One of the things I constantly keep hearing people say is how great the mixing on Suicide Season is.
