Anyone know where I can find the notes to Mike's synth solo in Robot Boy? I can't hear it well enough in the song to figure it out, and lots of sheet music/piano tutorials are just for the vocal melodies of the song.

well aren't you in luck, I wrote down all this just a week ago.

Here's the notes, just figure out where to play it and all that other stuff. When there's a - sign before a note, it means it's lower than where you started.
This was written on an iPad, which explains the weird formatting

    D
    E F
    C
    E
    DC
    -B
    -G

    -A -G -A -B C -B C -B C -G -A -B C D
    E D C F D G F E D -A

    D C -B D -A C

    E -A -G C -B

    A -B C E -B C -A -B
    C E D C E -B C D E C D E F D F G

If anyone finds errors in this, please do correct them.

I know how to play it on guitar...would a guitar tab suffice? If not, I can transcribe the notes too.

With some ingenuity and self-motivation, all you need is a hand and a keyboard :chuck:

Let's see if this formatting works on here...

    *Edit* Yep, here you go:

    Code:
Drop D tuning, anything in parentheses indicates a note that's played by "bouncing" off the pitch wheel (usually a quick downward bend
that bounces back up into the original note - I don't think Mike pitches any notes up on this one). Easy to replicate if you have a
    whammy bar.

This takes you up to about 4 seconds before the drums cut out. The very end of the song gets very crazy and improvisational, with a lot
of huge jumps that probably aren't feasible on a guitar. Plus the synth lead gets really spread out in the stereo spectrum with a lot of
reverb as it fades out during the outro, so it's really hard to hear. Save for the last few seconds that I won't even attempt to figure
out, this should be pretty much correct.
