I feel like I can relate to mostly everything of Lp, when ever i feel angry, sad, down, having a horrible day, when ppl annoy me I put on LP and everything changes, i feel better, i think its the best therapy, so what do you think, do you think LP is the best therapy?
Maybe not LP especially, but music in general could be a Therapy. I am sure that there is also some "professional" therapy with music. But i can relate to the things you say, LP is (maybe because of favorite status) one of the importants bands to me. There are songs who get me through some shit. #FirstWorldProblems
What they said. Music in general is totally therapy, and even beyond that. We all need music in our lives. I can't imagine a world without it.
That's why THP is interesting. Compared to their other records, with the exception of FM and UIG, the songs on THP aren't really that relatable. I mean, you could probably find a way but its not that direct I guess.
I know what you mean , there's always an LP song for any situation; however, most people say that about their favorite bands, like back forever ago when i liked Hollywood Undead (dark times, I know), I saw a comment on one of their song on YouTube that said something like "OMG Hollywood Undead has a song for everything! I can totally relate to all of this!" Which is complete crap unless your life is all about sex, drugs, and violence.
To be fair, LP songs more accessible than that. For example, LP songs like With You and In Pieces sound like their about love and break-up(Chester said In Pieces was based on what was going on with him then) but you could assume the songs to be about any kind of relationship. That's kinda why they have big fanbases in countries outside America I assume.
While I can't say they are the best music for therapy wise, Linkin Park music does tend to make me happier and more energetic when I listen to it.
You're completely wrong. Hollywood Undead has their moments, like with songs like Outside, Circles, Lion, New Day, and more. Don't just throw their entire discography under the bus.
As usual, people are taking this thread FAR too literally. Yes, I would say that Linkin Park is my most "therapeutic" band in the sense that whatever emotional situation I'm in, there's a song they have released that suits my mood and either helps it (if negative) or amplifies it (if positive). Music in general is helpful, but Linkin Park knows just how to please me.
This. Ever since this girl just threw away the future we could have had that was right in the palm of our hands, I've been listening to music almost non-stop. It just helps me cope with the pain.
I'm sorry, I genuinely didn't mean to throw all their songs out, and I have heard those songs and see how they are relatable. I was just generalizing since I'm sure you can agree, most of their songs aren't super relatable.
Yeah, I know. I hate half of their songs. But the reason I like them is because they have these really relatable songs. And I like rap/rock. And Danny's voice is fucking amazing.
I would say most of the "Nu-Metal" era is rellatable to people (Linkin Park, Papa Roach f.e.). So Hybrid Theory and Meteora for the biggest parts.
