My question is simple. Do you think Linkin Park's seventh studio album will sell more or less than "The Hunting Party" did it's first week? That means it would have to sale more than 113,810 copies. Will it sell more or less? Feel free to throw a random number out there, as this is all just fun speculation.
God damn it. It depends on: the quality of the music the success of the lead single how interested people will even be in new Linkin Park how well the label will be promoting them will there be a tour supporting the album before it comes out the way the band announces and promotes it ...and a million other things. It's just impossible to know.
Well if alot of people liked The hunting party, and if LP chooses to go towards that direction of making another rock album again than im sure it will be more
Music sales are constantly going down across the board. No way I'm betting a against an arrow that's been going down for the past 15 years.
Yeah, there's ultimately no way to know even roughly how much to expect, really, and I'm kind of a pessimist when it comes to matters like these
Why isn't there a "doesn't matter, still will buy it" option? If there was one of those, that would be the one I choose. To answer the question, like stated before, there are a lot of unknowns. One of those, believe it or not, is label support. It seems to me that the past two album cycles, Warner hasn't really been there to help promote.
Exactly. There's no way of knowing, we can only guess, and only when we hear the album, we can guess.
You're using evidence to support your argument, isn't that against the rules on the Internet? Anyway, I agree. It's not a knock against LP, it's true for bands and artists across genres.
Yep. I would love to say more, but they'd need some pretty big singles to happen or something. It's a shame that people don't buy albums anymore.
