He pretty much does. That's why the Stone Temple Pilots album will take a long time to finish If Linkin Park take a break after this touring cycle - and some of us think they should - Chester would certainly be spending that time on STP material, though
The band has said multiple times that there probably won't be an album yet, but another EP. They had some sessions in July prior to the Carnivores tour, my guess is they could probably play a new song or two on the short two-date tour in the beginning of October. Anyway, exciting.
When I spoke to Chester in Camden he said that they hope to tour again and release new music 'soon'. No idea how 'soon' soon really is lol but I'd imagine since STP has a show booked in October they'll probably release another EP late this year and tour for a month after the LP european shows like they did before with the brief US tour. That's probably how it's going to be until LP takes a hiatus. Few months LP, few months STP and so forth. I can't imagine what wear and tear that'll put on Chester's vocals, but it seems he's committed to doing both for the long term.
I'm optimistic that LP will take a break after they're done promoting "The Hunting Party". If they do, there'll be side-project stuff which would be welcomed by me at this point; if they don't, they'll dive straight into making a new studio album, which is also fine.
And btw. The guys have actually been in the studio.. There's a pic or two where the guys had a recording session. At least a second EP should be out soon.
Scott will always be the vocie and the face of STP to the fans, but the band's current incarnation is pretty good and so underrated.
Anyone know of any updates by Chester or the band? Weren't they supposed to be recording between the break they had from Carnivores to their Shows now?
