Mike should shut the **** up when the #GuitarGod is playing But back to seriousness. It sounds damn good in an acoustic version. Like IT .
^It means "I know, right?" The chorus that's endlessly annoying in the original sounds a whole lot nicer here, probably because of the simpler instrumentation. I don't know, there's just something about the original that makes me dislike it.
Chester sounds a bit strained, which is weird since the concert was after the fact. I'd like to see Mike play guitar or piano too so Brad can play lead on it. 8/10 for me.
Chester was straining his voice way too much there. He was singing along with an acoustic guitar, not blaring guitars and drum beats. It just seemed odd. I didn't like this version that much.
Sweet cover! I just uploaded my own acoustic/vocal aswell, Check it out if youre awesome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12GhQd3uUXI
Someone tab out what Brad's doing! It sounds great and is a lot better than the chords I've found so far.
So, we've come to learn that Mike can sing well when he's not doing anything else as evidenced by his harmonies in this video, his vocals during the end of rebellion live, his vocals on blackout live, and various LPUTV videos of him singing playing around. So... Mike, just sing as well all the time. Force someone else to play guitar if you have to!
Capo 3rd fret. Intro - Am, C (x2) Verse - Am, C (x2), F, C (this chord should be an Am, Brad plays it wrong), G, E Chorus - F, C, G, A, G (x2) Repeat the intro, verse, and chorus, then the rest of the song is literally repeating the chorus progression the whole time. The song ends on an F chord. Brad plays the F chords with his thumb on the low E string, "Hendrix-style." He also does little "walk up/down" thing on the transitions between the Am and C chords in the intro/verse part, where he frets a B note on the A string with his middle finger while holding down the C note at the first fret on the B string. So between the Am and C chords you have this, from low to high: x 2 0 0 1 0
Dude you're the best, I'm always blind to the thumb for some reason lol, I would've never figured that one out.
I want to see a studio acoustic version with Mike singing. I didn't really like how Chester sounded here, but I thought Mike sounded great for not even trying. His voice really suites well with the melody even though I couldn't hear him real well over Chester.
