So we all know that this has been announced, check out the Halo 2: Anniversary Cinematic Trailer: I am still shocked with how amazing this looks. My jaw is still on the floor. The Arbiter! The Ship Master! The Prophets! The Flood! Miranda! These graphics on the Xbox One look stunningly realistic.
The graphic update is fucking insane dude! Seriously, look at Sergeant Johnston, DAMN! It's too realistic! I really need an Xbox One... Time to get a job!
It says "cinematic" in the title AKA not gameplay lol. Gameplay will never be on the level of cinematic footage when you consider that gameplay involves the player's manipulation of the game and thus constantly changing how things will look and react - pre-rendered cutscenes don't have to worry about that.
Ugh I probably won't be able to get this game until next year But holy shit, this looks fantastic. I am really impressed. Sgt. Johnson looks so fucking real. If you showed just the clip of him at the end to someone who didn't know what that was, they'd probably believe it was real life. And the part where Chief was falling through space along side that exploding ship... fucking epic. Also, I really want to know who is doing the soundtrack for this and I really want to hear the rest of it. Cause apparently they have more than an hour of new cutscenes (I think), so that leads me to believe they have more new music for Halo 2: Anniversary.
i don't have much time to play games these days, but i can definitely say for sure that i'll be making plenty of room to play this. Halo is amazing.
They are probably going to do what they did with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. There will most likely be a new soundtrack with new songs for all of the games. Also, I hear that Marty O'Donnell was fired from Bungie, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he will do work for the Chiel Collection. Here's to hoping though.
As long as work on this isn't the reason we didn't get Halo: Guardians this year, then I'm 100% happy and excited for it.
I hear he wants to get in to movie score. Needless, his contributions to the Halo universe are both important and impressive. I've enjoyed his work and wouldn't mind either way if he came back. Neil Davidage has done a phenomenal job with the Halo 4 score.
I just feel like the ship has sailed. I love the Marty's work, and he is one of my favorite composers, but I feel like it's time to move on. As for future soundtracks for Halo, I'm pretty sure Neil Davidge is going on to compos his own music (not specifically for any movie or game), so I think Kazuma Jinnouchi may be taking the reigns. That's what I'm guessing, I don't know if they'll be bringing in someone new.
Lockout looks beautiful...
