[thumb]http://c0903002.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/9882-ed_sheeran_new_album_multiply_artwork.jpg[/thumb] My mind was blown when a friend of mine showed me the video below. I had no idea Ed Sheeran was so talented. I was happy to just relegate him to "forgettable radio pop artist" territory, but after seeing that video it prompted me to check out his latest album 'X' (pronounced "multiply"). I have to say, it's one of my favourite albums of the year. For those of you who may make the same mistake I almost did, give him a chance. Standout tracks from Multiply: "I'm A Mess", "Afire Love", "Bloodstream", "Photograph". Thoughts?
After hearing ''You Need Me, I Don't Need You'', I thought he was a rapper. I was pretty shocked to hear the rest of his singles. Oh yeah, ''They say I’m up and coming like I'm fucking in an elevator'' - is one of my favorite lines of all time.
I feel like this needs to be in this thread: http://www.nme.com/news/ed-sheeran/78505?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=edsheeran
Man, that video is awesome. I want to see him live but he just played a radio show here with Austin Mahone and Little Mix (fuck that) and when he comes back in November, he's playing the Palace of Auburn Hills which is huge and the sound is terrible.
Respect to Ed Sheeran! Definitely doesn't belong to the "forgettable radio pop artist" category. I like some of his songs that I've heard.
It's mostly his own song "You Need Me (I Don't Need You)", but the other songs are: Laid Blak - Red Damian Marley - Welcome To Jamrock Tinie Tempah - Pass Out Another awesome video is his duet with Passenger to cover No Diggity/Thrift Shop:
Another amazing performance
Here's "Don't" in all its censor-free glory. Rick Ross included.
