Today Linkin Park and Warner Bros will be giving LPU members the chance to listen to their brand new album The Hunting Party that is due out June 17th. The lucky fans who got in with the chance to listen to the album will head to Hollywood, CA to hear The Hunting Party in its entirety as well as hang out with members of the band and other Linkin Park fans in attendance. Passes were given to members of the Linkin Park fan club, LP Underground, and also available through select media outlets who had contests for tickets such as KROQ. We wanted to create this thread for discussion and for attendees to post and discuss their thoughts on the event and the album itself! Are you heading out to the listening session today? I totally forgot to renew my LPU pass. I didn't have the money at the time when I wanted to last month, dangit Oh well. For Living Things they turned the volume so high I could hardly hear it, then it leaked on us. It was still an awesome time.
I'm assuming they'll be NDA'd. They can tell us that they can't tell us without telling us that they can't tell us because if they tell us that the cant tell us they'd be telling us what they can not tell us. Welp. I hope everyone has fun.
I don't know if I want to spoil the rest of the 6 tracks by reading their descriptions. I'll probably give in, but I'd like to at least once go in with a surprise. Eh, who am I kidding, I'll probably read the impressions once they're available.
This is exciting, we're finally going to get some thoughts on the entire album! Here's hoping the other songs form the more experimental side of the album.
Hope everyone who is going is gonna have a blast. That and they get to listen with some band members and it's over 3 weeks ahead of time before the albums release. That's pretty fucking awesome and one hell of a treat. Seriously though, bums me out. I had no idea they were doing one in LA or else I would've signed up. Have fun people who are going!
Assuming reviews are okay and that the LPUers wont be NDA'd, we should have a member or two writing a review from the tweets and DMs we received.
Not sure why they would be NDA'd, the album is out in almost 3 weeks. They need to promote their album and get their fans hyped.
