For me a recent one would be the lazy excuse of a music video for Guilty All The Same. Such a wasted opportunity to promote the album and win the old fans back while pulling in the hip hop community. Ah well. More LP decisions I hate: - Selling out a song about spirituality (Castle Of Glass) to advertise a violent video game - Lost In The Echo music video - Recharged - The Messenger - Burn It Down music video (anyone notice how they made the set design look like a tie in with Prometheus? WTF) And that.
Probably making Recharged and singing so harshly on the messenger (it'd be my favorite LP song if Chester didn't yell every word almost, and then it'd be the perfect closer).
I haven't gotten around to watching that "Guilty" video yet, so, pending that, I'm probably most disappointed by the "Lost In The Echo" video.
Until It's Gone is probably the most disappointing thing. But I could definitely go on... - LITE & Guilty music videos - Not playing more songs live from LIVING THINGS - Weak album promotions - 8 bit rebellion "updates" - balding
The most disappointing thing to me was when Mike was playing me the six track sampler, Mark The Graves came on and it sounds just like "Talk Dirty" by Jason DeRulo. I always hated when I was going to ask Mike if he wanted to play Keys To The Kingdom again and he said "I can't do that because then you'll post something stupid like this made up post on the boards biggest excuse of a thread since 'rate the song titles according to their name'".
I remember the time we all went to IHOP and Brad was all like "It's cool, I got the bill" and then all of the guys went to the "rest room" and I got stuck with a $200 tab. Last time I saw Mike he was all like "When did that happen?" and Brad ignored all of my calls for like two weeks
I'm disappointed by LIVING THINGS that they treated the original demos with radio friendly appeal. Just compare Primo from I'LL BE GONE & Holding Company from LOST IN THE ECHO. LIVING THINGS is the worst record in entire LP discography..
-"Lost In The Echo" and "Guilty All The Same" Music Videos -"Recharged" -"A Light That Never Comes" (Song and Music Video) -Not playing "Powerless", "Roads Untraveled", "I'll Be Gone" and "Robot Boy" live. -Playing only two similar sets during 2013.
I got stuck helping Joe move out of his house once, dude has a lot of shit. And Dave, if you needed to borrow my lawnmower, all you had to do was ask. I still have to buy a new one, smh.
It's A Tie.. though Meteora is crap but the mixing is better than LIVING THINGS. LT will be better enough if mixed properly, IMO plus treating the most unique song Primo turned out worst on the final version. That's crap... LT has potential based from its demo form but it was ruined, That's why
That time when Rob didn't teach me drum lessons--wait, never mind, I remember, he did and he let me cruise around also in his sweet ride. So...yeah, the band has never disappointed me yet.
* No screams from Chester in Guilty all the Same. It's missing a proper music video too. * The whole Living Things. Lost in the Echo and Powerless was pretty much the only good songs on that record according to me. Don't like Mike's rapping here. At all. * Not promoting enough, esp. Until It's Gone. I know it's early, but come on, this track could be HUGH already. I blame Warner, obviously. * The whole Recharged, esp. A Light That Never Comes. I had too high expectations for this album, since I compared it to Reanimation. The idea were pretty good, but the result was horrible. Mike's performance on ALTNC is pretty bad as well. How come a lot of you are hating on the Lost in the Echo video? I thought it were pretty darn good. Not their best (to be honest, nothing compared to the whole A Thousand Suns cycle), but still okay.
Yep, those lame LITE and GATS videos still annoy the hell out of me. Also, the fact that they're not doing any normal/non-festival shows in Germany in June. That's just more whining on my part tho, I guess I'll see them this winter or something.
