Not to make light of a dark situation, nor that I don't feel bad, but taking nudes and syncing them to Photo Stream via iCloud =/= "such a smart girl".

Kirsten Dunst blamed iCloud as if technology has never been known to have exploits, bugs, or glitches. I immediately lose respect for anyone who blames something when it's their lack of understanding that screwed them over. In this case, not someone like Brie Larson, but someone like Dunst.

 

Yeah, putting that shit on the cloud was not a wise decision. Especially when you're in their position. Especially Kate Upton! Holy shit, she had some raunchy stuff and a lot of it!

a lot of that shit is automatically synced. they probably don't understand. take a photo on
your phone and whether you like it or not, with iCloud active, that's going into the cloud
straight up.

 

One of the first things I do when setting up my iPhone is go into iCloud and turn everything off but the Mail, Notes, Calendar, and Documents (for my game saves). Ignorance isn't bliss.

Kate Upton makes a living off of showing everything but what those pictures revealed, so who knows where her career is going now

I dunno, man, when I need to backup my pictures, I do it old school (well, old school for the 21st century) and plug my phone in via USB to copy them over onto my external hard drive. Don't need anything private floating up in the cloud for anyone to find a backdoor to and snatch down.
