Say, would little crackers like to hear about the time we saw the lochness monster?

 

I'm two pages -well, one and a half- in on my first book in german . I chose something friendly (as in not too literally complex) so I went with The Hunger Games. Never read the saga before and makes my learning very genuine (as I'm not expecting to read or encounter something).

I'm excited, because although there are many words I didn't know on those two pages, structurally I've been on point. My german teacher always says the most important thing right now as a beginner is being able to make and discern structure, and vocabulary comes with practice and time. I'm really happy so far and I hope this reading will boost my learning process big time.

Also it's kind of a different approach from me because I'm not a book girl, but knowing the new language is what drives me the most I think I will be able to read these through.

 

^Agreed. The episodes are just too short (even though they are ranging from 7-12 minutes now).

 

I didn't bother me until I got caught up. Now it does seem like a lot of wait for such little content.

Also, 9000 came up really quick, I think that's the least time I've ever had between 1000 posts.

Thank you Rob .. Indeed it's not easy, but I don't think I've ever been more motivated than right now. As opposed to the classes I had in 2011, this time I really feel I'm going somewhere and that what I'm learning is really working.

Hoffentlich, nach(dem?) einige Jahre kann ich Deutsch beherrschen, ich bin sehr motiviert.

Totally forgot about the band Black Crown Initiate. They got a full length LP coming out September 30th. I pre-ordered that right away!

None of the songs off of the EP made the full album. I really appreciate that. More new music!

 

Fuck dude, that EP is fucking good! I hope this album lives up. They were on tour with Rivers of Nihil but didn't come to Colorado, the bastards. I would sell my body to get in that show.

 

I don't care what Disney says, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is fucking canon! No one can tell me otherwise.

 

In case anybody was wondering, the @midnight show on comedy central is hilarious. As is The Meltdown. Love to see Nerdist getting a lot of love.
