I know it's way early to say what LP is gonna play on the upcoming tour but my dream setlist would be..... .... what's yours? 1.Gats 2.Papercut 3. Faint 4. APFMH 5. LP6 song 6. Pushing me away 7. With you 8. ITE 9. Figure 09 10.WAK 11.LP6 song 12. Lying from you 13. LITE 14. RUT 15. LP6 song 16. From the inside 17. By myself 18. Bleed it out 19. LP6 song 20. Victimized/Qwerty 21.Forgotten 22. OSC
Idgaf so long as they don't play One Step Closer or In The End (unless Chester sings the bridge to In The End)
Dream: Hybrid Theory EP material A Thousand Suns Material Live debut of some LT tracks A ton of LP6 material Reality: All the hits its from the first two albums, with some hit tracks from MTM and LT thrown in somewhere, with GATS and maybe one new LP6 track.
Dream: Chester calls me and ask if I want to sing together with the band. Reality: Numb, In The End, What I've Done and ending with Bleed It Out
I just wish they'd play more songs more frequently from A Thousand Suns. Can't believe that album is two efforts behind already.
Chances are there won't be any revivals of songs other than Hybrid Theory in full at the one show before the Carnivores Tour. But Wake being played at a recent show gives me hope for others. We'll see better sets than lately, but I'm worried the LP6 material coming in will kick out the good stuff while they keep things that need dropped. Numb has to go, and songs like that need to be put into lesser rotation. I'd like to see quite different sets each show. As for debuts, RU needs to be played, because of the use of it in the last few weeks. Doubting any others from LT will debut, except potentially IBG. LP6 songs will be first in line to debut. ALTNC would be an interesting addition to some shows, there has only been one full band performance. The Rock in Rio show before the tour has Aoki as a special guest, so that could be played there. But one of the newest additions I'd like to see is any different mashups. Medleys are great ways to squeeze more songs into the set, albeit in parts. Also looking forward to what gets placed in Bleed It Out's bridge/outro. Unless anything from LP6 is a better finale song than that, it will be used again, but now it needs another part to be added since it was being played with just a longer bridge in the last shows. Really excited for what variety they can have!
I feel that, because the mindset of the band is going towards things that are "heavier" or "carnivorous", the set lists will begin to reflect that. I expect songs like Given Up, Bleed It Out, One Step Closer, and Faint to remain parts of the set. I also expect songs like No More Sorrow, Victimized, and maybe even some older songs like Don't Stay to come back. Overall, I just expect a lot of badass set lists. I feel they'll be drastically different than the last set lists they were working with.
Usual setlists + 2 or 3 new songs, including GATS + 1 or 2 oldie return (Crawling, FTI, NMS) + maybe ALTNC. Probably less HT non-single material (With You, POA, Runaway). That or LPU8 CD played in its entierty every single show.
If this were to happen, my life would be complete. "Jelly, jelly, jellyfish, when you squeeze me I go SQUISH."
Based on the name of the tour, along with the released artwork, and the obviously the new single; I think a lot of songs will fall off. I bet this will be their heaviest (rawest, loudest) setlist since 2007. I feel like almost every song from A Thousand Suns will be dropped, sadly. The contrast between LP and 30STM is pretty funny though. 30STM drops an album that is soft as a puppy, and meanwhile, LP drops their (assumably) heaviest (at least rawest, loudest etc) album.
I think it's pretty safe to assume that 30STM will be playing their more rocky material from their first 2 albums, seeing as how it's a "Carnivores" tour.
Then this will tie again to Road To Revolution setlist.. RTR will always be the best setlist so far because of proper allocation of songs in every album including skit from Reanimation (KRWLNG), from Mike's side project The Rising Tied & mash-up EP Collision Course.. I hope this new setlist to come may have this kind of balance and that makes it exciting.. I doubt if they will twist any classic songs like putting variations to it like Numb way back 2004 where it has 2 variations (from RAR 2004 & Camden 2004) As what they've said, "Make something unconventional".. As for ATS, it would be unique if they would stripped down songs like Waiting for the End building off its electronic elements & replaced with guitars (reminds me of what they did with Lying from You in RTR 2008).. Piano version of Robot Boy, Acoustic version of Burning in the Skies..
Every show will be Meteora in it's entirety 3 times in a row, then they'll finish with an encore of Burn it Down (8 times in a row).
I feel like this is somewhat realistic set lists for a more aggressive show: Setlist A: -GATS -Faint -Papercut -W&K -Given Up -What I've Done -New Divide -No More Sorrow -LP 6 Song -With You -Don't Stay -Breaking The Habit -Waiting For The End -LP 6 Song -The Catalyst -Burn It Down -In The End -Bleed It Out Encore: -Lost In The Echo -Numb -A Place For My Head -One Step Closer Set B: -With You -From The Inside -Lost In The Echo -What I've Done -Given Up -POA -LP 6 Song -When They Come For Me -Figure .09 -Numb -Waiting For The End -Blackout -LP Song 6 -Shadow Of The Day -Burn It Down -In The End -Papercut -One Step Closer Encore: -GATS -New Divide -Faint -Bleed It Out
