Linkin Park have been announced as the second headliner for Switzerland's Greenfield Festival 2014! The rock festival, happening in Interlaken, Switzerland, will be celebrating its tenth anniversary and will run for three days, from June 12 to June 14. Linkin Park will be performing on a bill with acts such as Iron Maiden (the co-headliner), In Flames and Bring Me The Horizon. This announcement comes after news of other European festival dates: Linkin Park will headline Portugal's Rock In Rio in late May, as well as Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock im Park festivals in June. *looks for Interlaken, Switzerland on the map* Nah, it's way too far for me. Hopefully they'll add more European dates soon. I know I'm selfish, but I don't care.
Like I said yesterday, this looks to be a full European tour this summer, not some escape from the studio tour.
All these tour dates are getting me hyped for the new album. I'm thinking we get the first single in March or April since the tour starts in May.
Ah screw that if they do festival tour only, some people cannot afford going there. Fingers crossed for an indoor show.
If there was going to be a LP headlining full tour in the spring/summer, when do you guys think it would be announced?
Judging by the current dates, it's actually mimicking LIVING THINGS release schedule. Most likely at the release of the album information. It's how it's been happening for the last few album cycles.
I noticed, but when was the 2012 European tour announced? I joined here during it, so I don't really know what happened before.
Oh look, they're touring in another country. *roll eyes* Another reason I may never see them perform live.
Rock Am Ring always gets announced first and super early. Probably around the same time as this tour cycle. Then more festival dates are revealed around now. Then album teasers start. Album info revealed along with official album tour information.
Really looking forward to the next few months. I'm hoping I can catch them again on their next US tour!
