Haven't see it yet but loved the fact they show the Professor and Magneto when they were both young and their ages now. Want to see it but then again, I'm going to be the one fusing about how the movie is not like the comic book. *snickers*
He could always wind up showing up in the movie, maybe they're keeping it secret. Steve Carell said he wouldn't be in The Office finale, look what happened there. There is always hope!
I really hope this would happen. Also, Bryan Singer had a Q&A with members of FB and Twitter. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=110710 * The trailer is more of a character piece, since the VFX isn't finished yet. That includes Sentinels and action scenes. * Mystique is more kickass, and almost her character in X2. * He is always drawn to the X-Men because of new places in the universe. * He would want to work with Deadpool, Gambit "and a few others I would not like to mention." * When a fan commented on his increasing weight, he tried Hugh Jackman's training regimen - for a day. * The funniest moment on set was: "In between shooting a serious scene on Xavier's private jet, Michael, Nick, Hugh and James dancing to #BlurredLines #IHaveTheFootage." This is also his breakdown, shot-by-shot, of the trailer. http://www.empireonline.com/features/x-men-days-of-future-past-trailer-breakdown
I'm still going to fuss like this: Bishop was never there at that time but boom there he is. *tilts head* See?
It's official: a sequel for The Wolverine is confirmed, with James Mangold returning to direct. Even though I like Wolverine, I'm having mixed feelings about this one. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/05/report-fox-moving-ahead-with-the-wolverine-2
Both solo Wolverine movies are a waste. Wolverine is such an awesome character and Hugh Jackman is an awesome actor, but they have no idea how to utilize either one. I enjoyed his cameo in First Class more than both of his own movies combined. Just let him be a witty badass and stop making these crap movies for him!
I thought by stand-alone when they made The Wolverine this year, it mean literally a stand-alone movie. Not anymore sequels. Although I didn't like the last part of the movie, I though Wolverine did good by reducing the number of mutants, staying grounded (until the ending of course) and showing more drama. It's nowhere near a great movie, but it was kinda like baby steps. But X-Men Origins... screw that movie. I didn't even care about Wolverine in that movie. Heck, they even wasted Gambit and Deadpool.
Why? So unnecessary. I could hardly sit through the first one because of that completely horrendous third act.
http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/11/...tume?utm_campaign=fbposts&utm_source=facebook DAYUMN. In other news, I KNEW I wasn't crazy when I left the theater feeling as though the ninja fight was cut extremely short. Apparently, the unrated version of the film will include the extended ninja fight sequence, and word has it from a fan screening: it is fucking bloody. YESS
New viral website: www.thebentbullet.com The Bent Bullet is a viral website that says Magneto maneuvered the bullet that killed President John Kennedy. It also includes a video and an extremely long article. Also, it's confirmed that Azazel and Angel Salvadore are dead by the time of DOFP.
On that note, is Nightcrawler from the movie universe NOT Azazel + Mystique? Unless DOFP alludes to the two having done the deed during post-First Class.
X-Men: Apocalypse Fucking. Awesome. "In a surprise move, Bryan Singer today revealed the title of the next chapter of 20th Century Fox's popular X-Men franchise. May 27, 2016 will see the release of X-Men: Apocalypse!" Source: http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/180637-x-men-apocalypse-set-for-may-27-2016
http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/03/10/bryan-singer-x-men-days-of-future-past-apocalypse/ So there may be a chance we'll be seeing Apocalypse in 'Days of Future Past'. Head exploding in excitement. I'm going to go ahead and make the assumption that Cyclops will make a surprise return despite the confirmations that he will not be included.
With any luck, then, and both Cyclops and Apocalypse in the picture, a film involving Cable won't be far behind
The original writing team behind the strongest film of the cinematic X-Men franchise (X2: X-Men United) returns for Age Of Apocalypse.
