At the risk of sounding like a broken record; it doesn't matter who they cast as Batman, as long as David Goyer is writing it by himself it's going to be a mediocre-at-best film.

So my only hope for the movie is that Affleck signed on under the condition that he (or even one of his The Town, Gone Baby Gone or Argo writing partners) would have major input in the script.

But as of right now I have no confidence in this film.

Lots of movies are adapted from books. Even Superman movies. The difference is those guys adapted it very well. Screenplay matters more than the source material.

^ This. And there's no way the script is finished. I'd say it's unlikely that there's even a first draft, 1. Because they really shouldn't be wanting to fuck this up, and 2. David Goyer is a huge fan of comics and likes to stick close to the source material (even if it's not exactly 'canon', he cherry picks from lots of different comics and graphic novels in a consistent manner).

EDIT: Then again, he might have a draft done. He did write Man of Steel, clearly influenced by Byrne and Morrison, fresh after co-writing three Batman films, so he might have all of those continuities fresh in his mind.

    ^ Dat official announcement doe.

I feel Gadot did a great job of portraying a kickass chick in Fast 5 and 6, but Wonder Woman is on a whole different level of kickass women. They made Bat's and Supe's suits cool in recent years, but I don't see the Wonder Woman suit looking cool without a drastic rewrite - those star-spangled hipsters have got to go, and the tiara.

I think she's pretty as hell and has the right face to play WW. But her body needs a bit of gym-time to get in WW mode. Great choice overall.

Custome-wise I think they'll stick to muted colors like they did with Supes in MoS.

With the inclusion of WW now this is turning more and more into a JL film than a MoS sequel haha.

Great choice! Hopefully she'll be put on a bulking regiment. She needs dat squat-butt, thighs, hammies, and defined core STAT!

Nonetheless, Antje Traue will always be my imaginary Wonder Woman

Jeremy Irons as Alfred - Fine I can see that.
Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor - What the what!!!

All the roles I've seen him in he's done one shtick - The nerdy guy and sometimes talking fast. I do NOT see Lex Luthor. Plus he's way too young. Damnit... he must pull a Ledger if he wants to win people over.
