RELENTLESS by Dean Koontz I love reading anything from Dean Koontz. He became one of my favorites already! His poetic styling in writing always give me goosebumps. And yes, I was absorbed reading it that I got so emotionally attached and did cry at some point. Haha. The ending was just badly written and maybe because I was really expecting a BIG twist but then it was like "Okkkay...is that it?" I can't deny that they were some strong points that I considered it as a page turner but rated still as average. Intensity still my favorite though! THE INGREDIENTS OF LOVE by Nicolas Barreau I think it comes to a point that I'm so into crime series or psychological thriller genre that all I think is murder. Not really murdering someone but yeah, I'm always thinking of the twist of the story and who killed who that last Wednesday I gave myself a break from murder, blood and all those sad/depressing human truth and instead gave myself a space for light reading. So, I bumped to this heart warming love story about a Parisian restaurateur and an editor. It was a charming to read and very predictable though but still gives you that sunshine-y vibe.
^I appreciate you a lot for reading stuff like The Hunger Games (couldn't get myself to read it if I wanted to.) But... that's a freaking childrens book. Which is why we read it in fourth grade.
The girl with the dragon tattoo. Definitely a tougher a read the hunger games, really like it though.
DOWN RIVER by John Hart Dragging, unpredictable but not surprising, dull characters, and simply okay. THE SENSUALIST by Barbara Hodgson Intriguing, page turner, and brain stimulant. It's one of those books that you keep wondering about the ending. (This is the same feeling I have for Paulo Coelho's By The River Piedra, I Sat Down and Wept)
I finished this the other day. The movie trailer is actually exciting to me now! Anyway, I'm almost halfway through "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" by Jeff Lindsay.
The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith/JK Rowling Still around the beginning and so far it's a standard detective story.
Just finished Mockingjay, gonna wait to get another copy of Dragon Tattoo to read anything else. i lost my copy
VELOCITY by Dean Koontz Fast-paced, controversial, artsy and compelling. Not so blood thirsty though.
The Catcher in the Rye by Jerome David Salinger. First book I have to read for school that I enjoy reading this year.
Lois Lowry's The Giver A story that uncovers life mysteries and simple joys. It allows you to reflect on how you should value relationship. Anthony Burgess's A Clockwork Orange This book was quite a challenge. I mean, seriously. The writer used a lot of slang English language which was very confusing on my part, but it was worth reading for. The book was very brutal, thought provoking, and an eye opener. A salad of society intrigues. Mary Higgins Clark's Nighttime is my time Predictable, dragging, and it took me forever to finish this book. It was an okay book. Haha. Okay is an understatement description. (The book deserves it.)
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn Really good thriller, but I don't know how I feel about the ending. I'm really looking forward to seeing what David Fincher does with it.
