Linkin Park to Release New Single CASTLE OF GLASS November 12th - Sales to Benefit Help for Heroes Campaign

Stereoboard are reporting that Linkin Park are set to release their new single CASTLE OF GLASS on November 12th, with proceeds going to the Help for Heroes campaign which they helped promote in the recently released CASTLE OF GLASS music video in partnership with EA and Danger Close's Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Read more about the charity and Linkin Park's involvement through the Stereoboard excerpt below.

The members of Linkin Park hold a shared respect for the work and sacrifices made by those who serve in the Armed Forces, and by supporting Help for Heroes, they hope to support servicemen, women, and veterans by raising funds for the charity as well as raising awareness about the support the wounded need for life.

Help for Heroes provides direct, practical support to wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans, and their families. This is provided through grants to individuals and other service charities, capital build projects and support for life at four Recovery Centres across the UK.
Bryn Parry, Co-Founder and CEO of Help for Heroes had this to say about Linkin Park's involvement in helping raise awareness and funds for the charity:

Linkin Park is clearly passionate about the Armed Forces and understand the issues they face. By donating proceeds from ‘Castle of Glass’ to Help for Heroes they will make a real difference.

Promo CD's have been emerging of CASTLE OF GLASS for the past couple weeks and you can view images of the artwork courtesy of Maik Gianino at the Wretches & Kings fan page on Facebook. The cover art for CASTLE OF GLASS looks to be the same as the image embedded within certain frames of the music video upon release, which you can view above.

I love that artwork. It's really interesting how every single piece of single artwork has been better than the actual Living Things cover.

The cover art is indeed awesome.

I feel like we start getting into a really dangerous territory when we start trying to write around the idea of what some third-party thought of what our music should be when they can't even comprehend on how to tell us what that thing is, or guide us in a direction that can get us there musically or creatively, or anything. You know, having to have a specific type of song; forcing music to conform to that frame of mind is causing a lot of noise to be in and it's getting away from the song. (...) Let's stop trying to do things that other people want us to do, and let's get back to just being fluid, and writing songs, coming with ideas, and being like, "hey, let's check this out", and grading things, and being honest.

Great cover. Has this dark, sinister-yet-calming feel to it.

This, a vague and irksome image of plant matter, compared to an imposing and eerie figure, with ash floating away from his body. There is way more story an narrative in that image than the majority of LP's album covers to date.

To each his own, but I'm sorry I digress

    Awesome cover art.

Disappointing about LITE. I was expecting them to give LITE another big announcement or something.
    Hope COG does well.

I think LITE was like Burning in the Skies; it 's probably an international-only single.
