Any time I have ever wondered what the album cover was, I just associated it with something to do with nuclear warfare. The name ''A Thousand Suns'' has always gave me that interpretation, and a lot of the lyrics on the album deal with that type of situation. So basically, I really don't know what the album cover is a picture of, it just brings imagination in my head..
I remember hearing someone say that in some language (I forgot) their word for "atomic bomb" literally translates as "a thousand suns", which would explain the themes of the songs on that album, which makes me think the art represents an explosion...
To me it looks like some abstract universe, and when I listen to the album it feels like im being taken to it.
Sorry for bumping this thread... But every time I look at it I think of some type of bird or someone rising up. Idk it's weird but I like it being simple but having a deep meaning. I kept looking at it cause I got my autographed ATS
When I look at the cover art, I see a bird as well, but, beyond that, I've got nothing. That's a good one!
If all anyone sees is a bird then they have no 3d vision or critical thinking skills. It's obvs we are looking through a dark hole/burst of light (depending on which cover...the alternate or original). It's evil vs good. We can't escape evil when surrounded by good. We still have good when surrounded by evil. You guys are terrible at album covers. Srsly. A bird? Get out. Now. How dare any of you think of this top tier cover art as merely a bird. You disgust me. You disgust me stronger than the force of A Thousand Suns. Stare into it. Deeply. Where does it take you? I'm high as hell right now.
For me , i got the alternative DVD Version. ITs like the light into a kind of darkness. Behind every dark time there will be a light. (f.e. The Catalyst ---> Apocalypse, The Messenger ---> Peace). Or Iridescent also show this kind of meaning to be. "Let IT GO" , the sadness and frustration , because there is still some love and happiness out there. Fell atleast this is what the cover means for me
