This is a rough draft of "Survivor" from the Legacy Of Origin collection. [Very soft piano] Hurricanes and tornadoes destroy the land, that’s how it goes People pray for survival before their supposed ends come I am a survivor I have what it takes to make it out alive because I… survived Wishing upon the stars hoping for a better tomorrow thinking about the outcome without having the sense of disappointment I am a survivor I have what it takes to make it out alive because I… survived [piano build up to guitar strings] I am a survivor I have what it takes to make it out alive because I…. Survived [over guitar riffs and piano] I survived Along the way I didn't think it was that good so I want some honest feedback, advice, and suggestions. Anything is welcome.
I think it's interesting. The lyrics in the refrain kind of fall a little flat, though. Whenever I write, I always try to make sure the words still make sense when I say them, as if I were using them when speaking normally. I'm a survivor. I have what it takes to make it out alive, because I survived. The first three lines are pretty good, but the last because I survived doesn't quite fit. These are just my thoughts, of course. You can do whatever you want with this. I was just giving my honest opinion.
