August Monthly Remix: BURN IT DOWN Swoon Remix

For this month's remix from LIVING THINGS preorders, the band has released the BURN IT DOWN Swoon Remix. The song is remixed by Tom Swoon and was first heard about a month ago as being part of an exclusive download involved with Muve Music, however it has now been released as part of the LIVING THINGS Remixed initiative. The song has been emailed to those who pre-ordered. If you didn't pre-order you can listen below.

This is the third BURN IT DOWN remix, however, Adam of LPU has stated that there are other songs from LIVING THINGS that are being remixed. Let us know what you think of Tom Swoon's BURN IT DOWN remix on the LPA Forums.

You're preaching to the choir, and since my browser or email is being a piece a crap I can't listen to it...but then again I don't need to hear the millionth version of BID so until something that isn't BID shows up I'm not going to bother.

I wouldn't mind if they had some differences to them, like new vocals. They did refer to this as a new Reanimation in some interview. I know that not all Reanimation songs had new vocals, but a lot did

Some of the vocal effects were cool but the intro and outro kinda gave me a headache. I'm not trying to be unnecessarily critical, but I do not believe that I will listen to this remix too often, if ever again.

Probably the best remix so far as part of LIVING THINGS Remixed. My favourite part is at the 02:00 minute mark when a random chick says "cum"...

Well, um . . . . I think I may just have to ignore any future remixes until something different is remixed. This is getting fucking ridiculous.

I get it. It's nice that the band gave an incentive to preorder the album. I understand that they're busy touring and don't have the time to write and record new parts. That said, labeling these weak, YouTube-caliber dance remixes as official damages the goodwill they've built with stuff like Reanimation. I like electronic music, I really do. But these remixes of the same goddamn song are repulsive.

I actually agree with you. The only official remix that I've liked of Burn It Down was the "Hahn With Gun" remix, and that's not even really official. Yet.

They don't even have to record new vocals for all I care, just have different artists do it

I can't even muster up any enthusiasm to listen to this song. I'm so sick of BID remixes.
