Macklemore - Debut Album "The Heist LP" In October

For those that don't know, Macklemore is a rapper based in Seattle that has gotten some major coverage by the media after the release of The VS. EP with producer Ryan Lewis, and was even put on XXL magazines freshmen list of 2011. The VS. EP was fucking incredible, and after listening to that I checked into more of his material, and needless to say, I was floored by how great he is. Here are a few songs that he released over the last few years that I personally think are some of his best work.

Wings [this is a stand-alone single, very powerful]

Otherside Remix [This is from The VS. EP Redux]

    American [From The Unplanned Mixtape]

My-Oh-My [Another stand-alone single, it's dedicated to the late Dave Niehaus, who was the announcer for the Seattle Mariners from 1977 til his death in 2010]
    R.I.P. Taylor Weir 1993 - 2013

Runnin this thang / Money insane / Busy getting brain like Krang / What, what's my name in the woods got these people usin' MapQuest / Man, fuck a backpacker

    Formerly known as JESEFF.

Just realised I've heard Wings before and I liked it but I didn't know who it was by. Might check in to more of his stuff.

Looking forward to it, I've been listening to his stuff for a few years now. Have you guys listened to this song off the forthcoming album? I think it's already a classic.

I have not heard that yet. I heard about it when he discussed it in an interview with Fuse, but I had to leave for work.

So, I just bought the track, and I really like it. It's not really as impressive as anything else he's done before, but I am loving that bass!

Here is the music video for you guys. I fucking love it!

Speaking of Same Love, and it's been awhile since any news has came out about this album, but the video for Same Love will be dropping tomorrow. Not sure what time though.

Also, my copy of The VS. Redux came in the mail today.

Just went through my first listen through, incredible album, definitely one of the best I've heard this year so far. I love "Make the Money", "Same Love", "Wings", and "Starting Over"
