    Nice :)

Your vocals remind me of James Blunt.

Thanks guys. Being an avid LP fan, I'm inspired by them in two primary ways: their sense of melody, and their introspective lyric style.

Well I had the rough chord progression down for a day or two, but when I really got serious it all fell together pretty effortlessly. I've had stuff that's been sitting around literally for years that I can't figure out what to do with, but this flowed really well. After the chord progression, the melodies for the verse and chorus came in about an hour, and after that the lyrics took about 45 minutes to write. And, actually the lead guitar part was a chorus melody I scrapped. Didn't sound good for the vocals, but translated well on guitar I thought. The actual recording probably took 4-5 hours.
