I think I saw something on Twitter last night. I can't remember what it exactly said but it was something like:
"The US bans things that accidentally hurt people. But instead the things that are designed to hurt people on purpose are protected by the NRA."

while I do think there should be gun control, and the NRA is crazy, guns are not designed to hurt people. To be cliche, "People kill people"
I don't know what the right move is in response to the availability of firearms in the wake of what's happened, but guns do kill people. The only thing they're actually designed to do is harm.
