Don't sleep on Guardians of the Galaxy. Or Ant-Man. They're all some interesting and bad-ass characters.
I've hugely enjoyed Phase 1. The whole interconnected filmverse is something I've wanted to see for years. I remember back in 2002 watching Spider-man 1 and thinking how cool it would be to see something like the events of X-Men 1 being mentioned in a newpaper & wondering why it hadn't happened, unaware of the legal rights being tied up with different studios.
Making a shared filmverse is a massive risk & Marvel Studios have done very well all things considered, & established a solid base that I hope they can build and improve on.
IM3 is currently filming and will be released next April/May. Written & directed by Shane Black so I'm expecting great things. The Mandarin is the villain. There's descriptions of footage shown at Comic Con that sound great, SHH (scroll down to "6:24" for the IM stuff).
Concept art here.
New suit:
Thor 2 starts filming in the next month or two, released November 2013.
Cap 2 I think films in January.
Ant-Man, of course is being written & directed by Edgar Wright of "Shaun of the Dead" & "Hot Fuzz" fame.
Word on Guardians of the Galaxy is the script is brilliant and it might feature Thanos in some way, linking into Avengers 2.

Now I am become Death... Destroyer of Squirrels
“Here is my final point. About drugs, about alcohol, about pornography and smoking and everything else. What business is it of yours what I do, read, buy, see, say, think, who I fuck, what I take into my body - as long as I do not harm another human being on this planet?” - Bill Hicks
Don't get me wrong, the MARVEL universe films have been very entertaining and I will surely find enjoyment out of the 'phase 2' set of films.
However, Hellboy 3 is gonna take the cake for me at the moment.

Not sure who the Guardians of the Galaxy are, but if the film garners extremely great feedback, I can see other badass comic book + manga properties seeing the light of day in the near future because of it's ridiculous aesthetics. Very exciting.
Nobody seems to know who Guardians of the Galaxy OR Ant-Man are. Hopefully that will change that HUGE and complex stable of characters they've got lined up. I'm hyped.
I don't care how good the script are, I wan't to know how the living fuck they will have a raccoon talking to Tony Stark/Iron Man in Avengers 2
Well they did have him interacting with gods... that universe is fucking weird.
They're not insane at all, and that's the reason they're doing so fuckin' well.
I think Guardians will be much harder to sell than Antman. Half of the reason these films have done so well is because they are all still grounded in reality. Thor began to push that, with introducing aliens and the like, but the majority of the film still takes place on Earth with Thor not even having powers; Guardians is definitely gonna take place solely in space, so it will be more of a complete departure from the Earth based superhero films we've had so far.
Thor 2 is gonna kick ass.
Picking up the pieces, now where to begin, the hardest part ofending is starting again...
