We all know hip-hop has been a huge part of Linkin Park's sound through the years. I, myself, am a a pretty big rap fan and I'm sure a lot of you guys are too. I'm just curious who you guys favorite rappers are as I haven't seen a thread for this since I've been on this site.
    Here's mine:

    1. Eminem
    2. Mike Shinoda:WTF:
    3. Childish Gambino
    4. Lupe Fiasco
    5. TIE Jay-Z/Kanye West (coincidence, I swear)

If you want to include groups, they count as one.

Good to see other Gambino, Slug, and Eyedea fans. They seem hard to come by these days even on rap forums. Love them all. Gambino gets a ton of unnecessary hate.

The majority of comments like this about him is why I feel he is horribly overrated. He's a great rapper, which is why I gave him an honorable mention, but to be honest, I feel the only real reason he gained the amount of attention he has gotten is because of him being a white rapper with beyond vulgar lyrics, while supposedly "keeping it real".

I say that because it's my opinion. The majority of comments about him are like that because it's the opinion of majority, also. The Eminem Show is one of the best rap albums ever. The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP are more than awesome. Encore and Relapse, are good, but not as good as his older stuff. Recovery returned him to the status of the best rapper ever. I agree, he doesn't ''keep it real'' but when you listen to songs like My Dads Gone Crazy even through they are beyond vulgar, they are personal. But, I agree on the ''keep it real'' point because of songs like Kim. That's a disturbing song. No other ''white boy'' can do what he can, and no other ''white boy'' can be as successful rapper as him.

    01. Mike Shinoda
    02. Jay-Z
    03. Eminem
    04. 2Pac
    05. The Notorious B.I.G.

Very boring, unoriginal list. I don't listen to much hip-hop/rap, but I used to when I was younger, and these were my favorites.

I'm not a true hip-hop head, and there are a lot of classics I still haven't listened to (2Pac, Wu Tang Clan, Run DMC, Public Enemy,...). But for what I know, here are some of my favorites

    Cypress Hill
    Beastie Boys
    Styles Of Beyond
    Nas
    Apathy
    Dr Dre
    Eminem
    Lupe Fiasco
    IAM (classic French rap)
    Orelsan (famous French rap)
    La Caution (unknowd French rap)

On the other side, I hate most of the RnB music with a passion.

that's not a boring or unoriginal list. Besides #1 the other 4 are claimed as some of GOATs of Rap

I'm Suprised of all the Lupe love. Yes I like him a lot, but after Lasers I'm suprised people have him in the top 5.
