I like their new song "Still Swingin'" Number One, step it up Spit the fire, I'll back it up Count me in, now turn it up I'm killing it, you're burning up Never change, never break I'm the real, you're the fake Set it up, go underground You feeling it, this future sound? Non-stop - devastating everything On Top - never coming down I've got - my hands in everything Non stop -- I'm never coming down We're just living for today Keep our light on in the haze Yeah forever we will stay We are the ones still swinging We are a beacon in the dark The lighthouse risen from the heart We've been here from the start We are the ones still swinging I'm dangerous, passionate Watch your back, they're stabbing it Hold on and hold tight I slash your faces every night We don't belong, never will Never kill, we always thrill Set me off and I will attack Cause PRoach is the new black Non-stop - devastating everything On Top - never coming down I've got - my hands in everything Non stop -- I'm never coming down We're just living for today Keep our light on in the haze Yeah forever we will stay We are the ones still swinging We are a beacon in the dark The lighthouse risen from the heart We've been here from the start We are the ones still swinging We're the ones still swinging (ones still swinging) Non-stop - devastating everything On Top - never coming down I've got - my hands in everything Non stop -- I'm never coming down We're just living for today Keep our light on in the haze Yeah forever we will stay We are the ones still swinging We are a beacon in the dark The lighthouse risen from the heart We've been here from the start We are the ones still swinging
I saw them live when they were supporting Disturbed over here in the UK, they defo got the crowd going! Not a massive fan but I do listen to them.
Watch for me at 1:43 singing "When the sun goes down, you are my only friend."
Meh band, in studio and live. The one time I saw them Jacoby threw a pissy fit because someone heckled him. Funny because I actually knew the guy that did it. Not as funny because he also heckled the previous band (Unwritten Law). Never bothered with anything past Getting Away With Murder. Everything I've heard since then is just bland radio rock that I can only laugh at.
I was able to know Papa Roach because of our neighbor Andrei. He gave the cd album Infest to my bro. I did like it and I still do. I don't like much Lovehatetragedy but it wasn't that bad either. Until then, never heard about them. It's actually my first time to hear Still Swingin' here in LPA. How time flies.
I'm with you, up until then it's almost LHT-ish (my favorite era of Papa Roach), but like everything Getting Away With Murder onward, they feel compelled to ruin it with a ridiculous arena rock 'sing along' style chorus.

Sounds like another standard rock album, kind of like their last album. It's better than their last album though. Doesn't come close to their old stuff though. Best Songs: Still Swingin, Silence is the Enemy, Give Back My Life, Breathe You In, Leader of the Broken Hearts.
I liked the album. I think it's way better than Metamorphosis. Best songs: Where did the Angels Go?, Leader Of the Broken Hearts.
Sorry to sort of necropost this, but I just got caught up on Papa Roach's discography. I got Metamophasis, Time For Annihilation and The Connection. I love how The Connection has incorporated a lot of digital effects into Papa Roach's songs. Very cool vibe in my opinion.
Yeah I agree. That's one of the things that I liked about The Connection. It's great that they incorporated new stuff to their music to make it sound fresh but still sounding like P Roach. Besides, I've seen videos from their latest tour and they're sounding great live. I thought Jacoby was never going to be the same after his vocal surgery, but I think he sounds better than ever. I hope they finally visit Chile this year.
Yeah, he's making a great recovery! I passed up an opportunity to see them and Stone Sour the other night for free. If we weren't having an ice storm, I would have totally been there. I hope they stay on this path of incorporating more digital effects. Like you said, it really sounds good with their style.
I think these guys are one of the best live acts out there. They have a shit ton of energy EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
