According to international online news site 20 Minutes Online, it's being reported that Linkin Park's new album, LIVING THINGS, due out in the US on June 26th, will be available to stream in its entirety on their website beginning June 19th through to June 22nd. As of right now there's no other confirmation aside from what they're reporting, but they've posted about several Linkin Park news stories in the past that were later confirmed by the band. June 22nd is the international release in some countries for LIVING THINGS, so whether this will be available to all regions or not is unknown, however, this may be a tie in promotion with iTunes, so this could be a worldwide promotion by Linkin Park just before the album releases. We'll keep you updated if this is confirmed and if any more details surface. Read The Article at 20 Minutes Source: 20 Minutes via Lost In The Echo | merrillmind
Well the album is apparently out in Argentina on the 19th anyway, so it's not that surprising that the band is allowing a stream on that day, to divert attention from a possible (and probable) leak
I remembered reading somewhere else that Living Things would be streamed on iTunes in the week prior to release. I just can not remember where I read it, try as I might :/
I read that too. It TWO different articles. I don't doubt its authenticity. ATS was also streamed in full a week before. Either way, its either iTunes or whereever this is stream is. Which brings me to the question, where is the stream going to be? Spotify maybe?
Well it's not a rumor as that is what the article says. It's just uncertainty over details that warrants the speculation.
ATS was streamed on Myspace if I remember correctly, but considering the bands current link with Spotify, I'm guessing that's where it'll be. Like, release ATS Live around the world soon and Living Things after that? That'd make sense.
Wait, I just went on to that article. It has the iTunes and Warner logos. Maybe that week before release stream on iTunes is what they are talking about seeing as they have the iTunes logo.
Hmm, okay well I kinda like Nish's idea. So far it looks like Mike has a "thing" with spotify. I wouldn't be surprised if it was streamed on there. If im honest aswell, this early stream to me means leak. In the sense that I can rip audio streams . Woo! Living Things on Tuesday!
Sounds cool. But this is kinda weird cause Mike asked us to wait untill the albums officially comes out and organize partys.. Huh?
What Mike wants and what record companies want are two very different things and should not be confused
Mike´s statement is more company oriented than this option! He wants us to buy records what I pretty much think is the same Warner wants!!!
It's nice! But I'll wait for my Digital Copy pre-ordered, because in that way I can listen wherever I want, in a way I want, and making this experience even better.
This is extremely likely. Even though Mike asked to wait until the release date, this helps the band get in front of any risks of leaks. People aren't going to bother downloading something that you can listen to via streaming, whether it's iTunes or Spotify.
Probably something to do with WB.. However it sounds like something I would write to get people to feel the true experience. Sounds legit to me.
Just thinking...this contradicts the whole concept of the listening party for LPU members, doesn't it?
