Joe Hahn is best known as a "DJ" in the band. So, I wonder which kind of stuff he really does in a Linkin Park's show, besides scratching or playing sample note?

Never sample from your memory. Always imagine new samples. :leo:

The keyboard sample that we plant in this man's mind will grow into an idea. :leo:

You create the world of the samples. We bring the scratchs into that MIDIMixer and fill it with their samples. :leo:

What is the most resilient mix? vocals? A speech? An instrumental? A scratch :leo:

Resilient. Highly contagious. And even the smallest sample of a scratch can grow. :leo:

Let me ask you a question, why the hell were we ambushed, huh? Those were not normal samples. They've been auto-tuned, for God's sakes! :leo:

An instrumental that is fully formed - fully mixed - that sticks; right in there somewhere. :leo:

It's the foreign nature of the sampler. They attack like a Cure for the Itch. :leo:

No, no, don't show me sample bank. Only the DJ should know the layout. :leo:

Yes. Remember, you are the sampler, you mix this song. I am the listener, my mind hears it. :leo:

If you can sample a kick from someone's track, why can't you plant one there instead? :leo:
