You can see minute and I considered this thread to be as relevant as you did.
That's what I've been asking! The intro to IMR has what sounds like 5 seconds of vinyl scratching, then it's all sampling. And even then, Mike's going to be performing most of that live, probably.
He fucks around with an unplugged midi keyboard/ sampler.
