All right, let's not get off topic with this. I am Gabe Newell and I am glad that LP is doing the song for Medal of Honor. They will do the soundtrack for my next project at Valve.
I love the sync between the video and the song. When using a song from an artist in this kind of videos (trailers, etc.) they often don't pay attention to the rythm and tempo of the music. And I like this 'variation' (kind of 'demo' version?) of the song too.

Is it just me or does the band have bad judgment when it comes to licensing songs for things?
I believe the gaming companies are the ones who choose band/songs for their productions, not the other way around..
They can always say, "No". Granted, Medal of Honor isn't the disaster that Staged video would've been. Really, this is only embarrassing because they spent so much time promoting the last game and that turned out to be kinda crap.
Oh come on, give them a chance, they're not hardcore enough gamers to know if the game is crap or not, they play casually, and even because of that, they might even enjoy the game, who knows. I personally am not a fan of this type of franchise but that's what I can think of.
And about the Staged thing, I had completely forgotten about it lol, hardly anything could be worse than it.
I agree, the video contains an alternate version of the song we have. It sounds like the guitar was mixed louder than the synth in this version. Also, the drums and vocals do sound different.
And no wonder Valve takes forever to finish stuff, Gaben spends most of his time lurking on forums. GET BACK TO WORK MAN.
Should have done this for Halo 4 or Black Ops 2.

I don't care if the game sucks or not, this partnership is a very bad idea. You can't promote peace in your songs and be on the soundtrack of this game, which has a polemical background.
An LP song for FIFA13 would be insane! I watched this on my phone a few hours ago and I didn't really think the music fit the trailer, but watching it on my laptop with headphones on is better...something still feels a bit off though, can't quite put my finger on it.
