Looking ahead to LIVING THINGS, I wonder if lyrics sung at a pitch similar to Chester's singing "Cut myself free" just before the chorus in "Part Of Me" off this disc might be close to what we should expect for VICTIMIZED. Thoughts?

We never 100% advertised these as new. Just that we were uploading them for fans to add to their collection if they only possessed versions with static. Judging by the amount of people who posted thanks in this thread, plus the fact it's been downloaded well over 500 times, many fans are thankful these were posted. Hell even a site that had the 8-Track version of these demos (where the static came from) linked to this thread, so it obviously has to be somewhat relevant to the fans.

Anyway. AWESOME posts, some of us just aren't 24/7 internet diggers looking for rare demos, I stumble upon them, I don't search for them, so thanks LPA, Ginger and Will for sharing and making it accessible for us.
Really awesome to have! I'm not upset that there is no She Couldn't on this rip, I think the quality of that song is fine from the earlier released version. I absolutely LOVE Part Of Me from this mix, so it's awesome to have.

No, you're wrong. And One appeared on all 3 demo CDs, so yes, there was a "non-static" version of that one already (it's identical to the HTEP version anyway), so that's not "proof" of anything. The tracks on the 7 and 8-track demo CDs that are exclusive to those releases are the versions of Crawling, Part of Me, and Carousel found on them. The version of Crawling on the 8-track demo CD didn't really suffer from static, so that comparison is out the window, but Part of Me and Carousel both had significant amounts of static on the 8-track version. Find a link to either of those songs without static that was posted prior to this CD's release, then you'll prove your argument.

From my understanding, the CD had suffered through damages that affected the quality of the tracks.

I believe they used analog equipment to record the songs before it was put to cd, right ??
