So the album cover was pretty much "I like this image better" rather than some deep meaning or message behind it other than "energy" .. However I might be wrong since we only got to see three minutes of footage.
And how assy of iTunes.. Maybe that's the reason why some titles ended up being "weaker", it kinda got rushed.

1. Rick's back!
2. I'm loving the awesome album art they're messing around with.
3. NEW. SONG. IN THE BACK. At 1:11-ish.
Getting even more impatient.![]()
This signature's, like, art.
Awesome sauce!
HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED PICTUREBOARD YET?
The cycle repeated as explosions broke in the sky
all that I needed was the one thing I couldn't find
And you were there at the turn waiting to let me know
We're building it up to break it back down
We're building it up to burn it down
We can't wait to burn it to the ground
The colors conflicted as the flames climbed into the clouds
I wanted to fix this but couldn't stop from tearing it down
And you were there at the turn caught in the burning glow
And I was there at the turn waiting to let you know
You told me yes you held me high And I believed when you told that lie
I played that soldier you played king And struck me down when I kissed that ring
You lost that right to hold that crown I built you up but you let me down
so when you fall I'll take my turn and fan the flames as your blazes burn
Cool. I love how Rick Rubin comes out of no where near the end lolol.

"The music we make now is the result of trying to put pressure on ourselves to do something unique. I hope not, let us dream the same band as we were (when we started) because that is specifically what we did not want to happen throughout our career"

Pretty cool. I like the last version of the album cover more as well.

This is nothing new for iTunes and they aren't the only distributor that set their own deadlines. Amazon and Rhapsody do the same thing. Unless you have a truly independent line of distro you're going to receive hard deadlines.
2013 Concerts:

Imagine Dragons (St. Augustine Amp, 11 May 13)
Boyz II Men, 98 Degrees, NKOTB (AMWAY Arena, 21 Jun 13)
Cool episode.
Music around 1:11 sounds VERY atmospheric. I like it.

Rick's starting to look like Santa Claus.
I'm glad to see that after 12 years signed to a major music label, and having sold 50+ million albums, Linkin Park still struggle with deadlines like the rest of us! I imagine that iTunes is like the long suffering College lecturers I had a few years ago. "Ok, we'll give you one more day for this essay, FINAL deadline!"
Thanks LPA for selecting me as 'Monthly Mix-Up' Winner for:BundleOfNerves: Mike just comes out of the gates swinging, though.
October '11 (Dance-Pop), November '11 (Mash-Ups), March '12 (Hip Hop) and November '12 (Castle Of Glass)
and as a Runner-Up for: July '12 (Burn It Down) and October '12 (I'll Be Gone/Victimized/In My Remains).

I love how during what appears to be a stressful time, Phoenix seems more concerned about finishing his burger. Glad to see this man has his priorities straight!
I really like the album cover.

On a slightly different topic but still related to Living Things:
Has anyone noticed that Ethan Mates site reads: "Mixed all B Sides and Bonus material for LP’s “Living Things”"
Interesting to see that there seems to already be some bonus/B-Side material ready to roll. Unless of course, it's simply referring to the various live tracks (mostly from the iTunes Festival) that he mixed for the Burn It Down single b-sides, for example.
I'm pretty bummed out Mike doesn't just make the album art any more. Significantly more bummed out that the entire process pretty much boiled down to "Let's see what of this guys stuff we like the best".
