This. I still think it's quite a nice article to read and they definitely didn't write anything negative or bad about the new album. My excitement is still there :)

I guess you mean nu-metal or something like that. LP have never been really metal, so seeing them going that route on 1 song or 2 would be new actually. A simple example, Chester has never been screaming during a whole song, so if he ever do that, it would be new for LP.

I'm almost sure the heavy songs won't be metal anyway, but they probably will have elements from that genre. After all, Mike said Living Things is a mix of all their influences, and they have metal influences (Metallica, Anthrax, Ministry, Deftones...)

Truth. It will be released in some countries on June 22nd. June 26th is the OFFICIAL US release date, many countries will get it before that day.

Fuck yes. This is what I've been waiting for. More folk-influence on Living Things please!

Edit: And the fact that it wasn't just a one-off line in the article makes me more happy. Hopefully we'll see the influence on more than just a couple songs.

LIVING THINGS will be out in Germany on June 22nd, Belgium is near Germany, so I think it'll be out that date as well.

To everyone bitching and moaning, all I can say is remember when after the ATS listening party we were told that Blackout sounded like a dancy-pop song? When in reality if it weren't for the synths I would argue that Blackout's first half is one of the heaviest pieces in the band's history. These are nothing more than first impressions. Nothing but fleeting moments of each song.

On top of that I really see nothing to be concerned about for this article in the first place. It sounds pretty identical to the one from yesterday only less "OMG LINKIN PARK ARE MY GODS" and more "this is some pretty decent shit right here".

LP already made a folk song and it's called "Bubbles". I like "Bubbles"... and bubbles in general.

Honestly, the folk and country comparisons have me kind of stoked. Sounds intriguing.

That's because it's an Artist Direct piece. They over-hype everything.

If someone recorded themselves in the bathroom with explosive diarrhea AD would call it avant-garde.
