Teen life has been revolving mainly around pop culture. It's either they are following the trends or breaking the trends.

So as for sucking: "No we don't. We're the same as other previous generations."

I don't know if I'd say we're "worse," I just think the values and standards of the world we're growing up in are different than they were when our parents, grandparents, and so on were kids. Therefore, it may seem like we're being "bad," but we're really just being normal.

I wouldn't generalize. Only 99% of it sucks, I would say.

As far as kids way younger then me generation I can't help but wonder "back in my day I didn't have a cellphone at your age, or a computer...and it was all about those fancy flip phones! Not these iphones you young people have!" Technology wise in this generation now it seems like 2 - 5 year olds get ipad, and all these cool other expensive electronics.

As far as attitude, wrong doings, and the usual teenage drama still seems the same to me.

The same can be said for every generation. If you back far enough there'd be people saying "back in my day we didn't have the wheel!"

Yeah, but when 5 year olds start playing with iPads and other electronic devices, it makes them go outside and do REAL things less. This is really terrible at that age when the brain is still developing. Young kids need to play puzzles, build things, play outside, etc. instead of substituting electronic devices. I'm not saying watching TV or documentaries are wrong, but substituting hands-on things with electronic devices is simply awful.

An electronic device is a hands-on thing. They do have puzzles and they can build things with them. And TV is even less interactive than that.

Of course the same could have been said of my generation. I played video games since I was like 4. I still went outside too.

Yeah, I don't see how being exposed to modern technology at a young age is a bad thing. As long as it's balanced with good, wholesome kid stuff, I think it's positive. That's more of a matter of good parenting, though.

I agree with this and with Timothy. I started playing video games at a very early age but i still went outside too. It's all about the balance in their lives

The problem is when the technology exist so you won't have to use your brain a la immediately using Google to remember something or having Siri to tell you some shit that you can figure out yourself. That's really the only problem with technology today...

I don't think I saw a 5 year old with a flip phone in my generation, and the internet was just "starting" xD.

Ahhhh nothing beats like going outside though rofl D;. I remember when I was younger I played on the Nintendo, but I don't recall how old I was. I DID go outside A LOT though. In fact I was always outside. I am STILL outside. xD Being indoors all day is not my thing.

Then again I think I am losing my memory (rofl I just dissed myself >_>).

I think with every generation the more advance the electronics are the younger the kids get them, or still around the age of 5 or maybe younger.

It's been proven that social interaction has declined since the advent of easier to use telecommunications.

Am I the only one who gets really confused when people start complaining about technology's affect on socialisation on an internet forum? Not saying it's hypocritical, but wouldn't you have some kind of appreciation for it? Idk.
