NME have posted more from their interview with Mike Shinoda. In this article, Mike talks about working with Owen Pallett on the band's fifth studio album titled "LIVING THINGS". Owen Pallett is known for his work with Arcade Fire as well as composing string arrangements for the likes of Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and R.E.M.
Mike also spoke about working with producer Rick Rubin again on LIVING THINGS.Speaking to NME, the band's co-frontman Mike Shinoda revealed that drummer Rob Bourdon was the one who got in contact with Pallett, but that the whole band "love" what he did with their track.
Asked about working with Pallett, Shinoda replied: "He worked on one song. We tried a second one, but he got busy with something else, so I actually ended up doing the strings on my own. He did the strings on 'I'll Be Gone'. I've not met him in person though, I think he may have met our drummer Rob, those two were emailing back and forth. I really love what he did with the song and what he did with Arcade Fire is just sensational."
