But Seriously, I could care less what songs he has mixed. At the end of the day, its all about doing what you love and doing it for a living. I'm not looking at the fact he mixed a Justin Bieber song but Manny the Mixer's very impressive background.
With a work history like that, I can't fucking wait!

Turns out he also mixed Mezzanine.

Oh I had a good laugh, thanks man
"it's too late, Bieber's negativity has already spread into Linkin Park's work" What? What?
Three pages in about an hour? Trolling attempt successful.

Come on you guys, Mezzanine clearly sounds like a Spice Girls album. Why can't you stop denying what promofrog knows is the truth?
This is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard of in my life.
This dude mixed one Justin Bieber song. So what? He did a fabulous job doing it. It's almost a fact that Boyfriend is brilliantly mixed. The vocals are loud but not overly compressed, and the whole song has a very crisp clarity with a nice balance, without cranking up the loudness too much. Great post-production is a totally different thing from a great song.
Justin Bieber's influence is not going to go on the track. There's absolutely no "musical" input from the mixers/masterers. It's only the volume, EQ, compression, delay/reverb, panning, and other technical things that mixers do. Linkin Park has always hired others to mix and master their songs for them. In fact, almost every musician does, even if they know how to mix and master. This is because with a totally different ear, the mixing could be done a lot better since he or she hasn't heard it over and over before.
This is coming from a producer, and let me tell you, mixing is extremely difficult. My mixes tend to either not have enough bass or clarity, or have no space. The amount of appreciation for these post-production people is far too low.
I make money.

I said, "Mike, I'm coming for you, homie"
Cause Mike's always got my back when I'm lonely
And I always got his back when we fight
I'm coming for you, Mike, Imma save your life

I guess by this logic, since Rick Rubin worked with Adele's "21", then the new LP album is going to sound something like that, right?
